  Our Nature with Aggregates

QPANI has taken a lead role in promoting, facilitating and delivering biodiversity conservation and ihas developed Our Nature with Aggregates; A Strategy to Conserve and Enhance Biodiversity and Geodiversity for the Aggregates and Quarry Products Industry in Northern Ireland. A role supported and grant aided by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) formerly the Environment and Heritage Service. The action planning process involved much more that just writing the plan, it engaged a wide range of organisations and individuals all working together in action for biodiversity conservation. It seeks to ensure that nationally and locally important species and habitats are conserved and enhanced.

Our Nature with Aggregates Strategy document was launched on International Day for Biodiversity (22 May 2008) in Stormont by the Minister of the Environment Arlene Foster.
